With key industry sectors including manufacturing, defense and technology, Phoenix's booming economy continues to hinge on the historic "5 Cs": Cotton, Cattle, Citrus, Climate and Copper. Even so, HR, software, security and more made significant strides.
By looking at private companies' three-year revenue growth, between 2010 and 2013, Inc. has tallied the fastest-growing companies across the country. Here are the top 10 fastest-growing companies in Phoenix:
10. Western Window Systems
Established back in 1959, this manufacturer is known for its' innovative product designs. Led by CEO Jason Funk, Western Window Systems boasts an impressive three-year growth rate of 236 percent, snagging number 1,762 on this year's Inc. 5000.
9. QDI Stone
QDI Stone, an importer and distributor of stone flooring, tiles, and more, clocks in at number 1,627 on the overall Inc. 5000. QDI is also the 9th fastest-growing startup in Phoenix. With CEO Arif Surmen at the helm, the company's three-year growth rate is 262 percent.
8. AZ Tech Finders
One of the hottest HR recruiting firms in Phoenix landed at number 1,626 on this year's Inc. 5000, with a three-year growth rate of 262 percent. Founded in 1998, this small company is led by CEO Sharon Bondurant. You'll appreciate their slogan: "Talkin' Nerdy since '98."
